My seats were so good that I could read Juan Soto’s lips — hilarious stuff with his teammates and fun stuff throughout the day! I wore my GoPro early on and caught a bunch of commemorative baseballs during batting practice. Then I saw Shohei Ohtani start to warm up, and after that I headed closer to the field to watch the player introductions, had a great spot for the Hank Aaron ceremony and the flyover, and then moved to the outfield for the first part of the game. How close did I come to Vladimir Guerrero Jr.’s home run? What did I argue about with a Yankees fan? How much did it rain? How bad was Peyton Manning’s ceremonial first pitch? Which players were being the most generous? (Aaron Judge, obviously, but who else?) How hard is it to balance a baseball cap on your nose? Very! And yes, things got kinda silly at one point with party tricks and circus stunts, but most importantly, everyone was super-cool and the entire experience was fantastic.
